Powered by Acura’s 355 hp Turbo V6 engine produced at the company’s state-of-the-art engine facility in Anna, Ohio, the 2022 MDX Type S is the most powerful, best handling and most lavishly equipped Acura SUV ever. Every MDX Type S comes with adaptive air suspension for superior ride and handling, Brembo front brakes and 21-inch wheels and tires. The line-topping Advance Package adds 9-way massaging front seats and a new 25-speaker ELS Studio 3D Signature Edition audio system delivering 1000 watts into the cabin.

The 2022 Acura MDX Type S was designed, engineered and developed in the U.S., with full platform and vehicle development led by engineers in the company's development center in Raymond, Ohio.

The MDX Type S is the second Acura Type S model to arrive in this new era of Type S performance, following the launch of the 2021 TLX Type S in June. The limited-production 600 hp 2022 NSX Type S, revealed in August, will be the third, and will be hand-built by master technicians at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, beginning early next year.
