Cost

So what will one of these babies cost you? The 2017 MINI Countryman starts at $26,000. This is a little above average in the subcompact SUV category. But, with its luxury branding, you can see why the cost would be a bit higher. The cost can be found in some of its key features. Interior wise, you’re looking at a stunning leatherette design. You also have a techie display screen to control the functions, and there’s a rear camera to aid you with parking too.

Performance

In terms of average performance. The basic 2017 MINI Countryman comes with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine. The manual transmission is six-speed. This is great for everyday driving. Although, if you are carrying a lot of passengers or an above average load, you may find that the performances slows a little. It also now has improved handling, meaning you should save the auto repair shop a job with fewer risk thanks to reactive steering. Economy wise, it’s below average with 24 mpg city driving and 33 mpg highway.

Interior

If you’re all about style, you’re going to love this interior. The leatherette upholstery adds a touch of class, and the heated seat and memory setting features are an added plus. Space wise, you’ll also be impressed. So if you’re looking for a family SUV, the MINI Countryman has got you. The 2017 model is 9-inch longer giving plenty of legroom to passengers.

Safety & Reliability

When you’re looking for an SUV, you’re going to want to make sure that its safe. If you’re interested the MINI Countryman, you’ll be glad to know that it comes with safety features like the rearview camera, parking sensors, and parking assist mode. However, do note that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety have not yet crash tested the 2017 model. In terms of reliability, you’ll be looking at a four year or 50,000-mile warranty as standard.
