Production Acura NSX to debut in Detroit next month

Acura NSX

Acura has just announced the 2016 NSX will finally debut in production guise at the Detroit Auto Show next month before entering production at the new Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio.

The Japanese carmaker promises the second generation NSX is going to provide a "new sports experience" and will be the "ultimate expression of Acura performance that is fueling a reenergized brand."

The NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine mated to Acura's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system that includes three-electric motors. This system "enables instant delivery of negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering to achieve a new level of driving performance unparalleled by current AWD systems."
