Ford is rumored to introduce a GT successor during the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January next year.

According to Carscoops, the American carmaker is preparing a limited-run model with around 1,200 units to be built. Our source also says motivation will be provided by a turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with at least 600 hp.

The new GT will be revealed to mark the 50th anniversary of Ford winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will hit the market as a 2016 model.
