Three new crossovers worth waiting for in 2015

Compact SUVs are the gaining a lot of attention. Urbanites love them for their easy maneuverability in tight cities and their low fuel consumption that still offers the feeling of security of driving an SUV.

Here are 3 eagerly anticipated models to look out for in 2015:

Mazda CX-3

The Mazda CX-3 is based on the all-new Mazda2, one of the best hatchbacks in its class and good enough to be considered a premium car.

It shares the Mazda2's 1.5-liter SkyActiv-G engine. A 1.5-liter SkyActiv-D diesel engine is also expected to be available in some markets.

Like the Mazda2, the CX-3's interior appears to be very premium, equipped with Mazda's MZD infotainment system.

The CX-3 is expected to be progressively launched around the world from 2015 onwards.

Honda HR-V

Like the CX-3, the Honda HR-V, recently announced at the New York Auto Show, is based on the Honda Jazz, sharing the same 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine.

The highlight of the HR-V is its cabin, which like the Jazz, is going to be very space efficient and practical to use.

The HR-V has already gone on sale in Japan under the Vezel name, and will be progressively rolled-out across the world in 2015.

Ford EcoSport Ecoboost

Currently, most countries are selling the Fiesta-based Ford EcoSport with a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT engine, but in the near future, Ford is expected to offer its turbocharged 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine to more EcoSport buyers around the world.
