At the 2014 Monterey Car Week, Jaguar has announced the F-Type Project 7 will be priced from $165,925 in the United States. The first deliveries are slated for the spring of 2015.
Inspired by the D-Type which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, the F-Type Project 7 is a limited production all-aluminum, fully road-legal two-seater roadster which is created by the company's Special Vehicle Operations division. It will be available in five colors: British Racing Green, Caldera Red, Glacier White, Ultra Blue and Ultimate Black.
Motivation is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 575 hp and 680 Nm of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission which allows the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 3.8 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h.
