Following last week's leak, Audi has officially revealed the Allroad Shooting Brake concept, ahead of its debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit today.

The concept measures 4,200 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,410 mm tall, with a 2.510 mm wheelbase. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/40 tires and its body is made from a material mix of aluminum and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP).

Power is provided by a transverse-mounted 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TFSI turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 292 hp and 380 Nm of torque, working together with a disc-shaped electric motor that develops an additional 54 hp and 270 Nm of torque. There's a second electric motor on the rear axle which offers 155 hp and 270 Nm of torque.

According to the German carmaker, the Allroad Shooting Brake concept offers a combined output of 408 hp and 650 Nm of torque. This allows the 1,600 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and hit an electronically-capped speed of 250 km/h. It has a low fuel consumption figure of 1.9-liter of fuel per 100 km (123 mpg US or 148 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 45 g/km. The total driving range is up to 820 km. The liquid-cooled battery has an energy capacity of 8.8 kWh, which is enough for 50 km of all-electric driving.
