A Chinese website has published the first official images of the 2014 Porsche 911 Targa, ahead of the car's debut at the Detroit Auto Show later today.

From what we notice, the new 911 Targa has a redesigned roof which adopts a removable section above the cabin and comes with a thick B-pillar in brushed aluminum look as well as a fixed rear window very similar to that of the original 911 Targa from the 60s.

Under the hood, the 2014 Porsche 911 Targa is expected to offer two engine options, a 345 hp 3.4-liter six-cylinder and a more powerful 395 hp 3.6-liter six-cylinder in "S" guise. In addition, these images also show it will also receive a 4S version, featuring the company’s stunning all-wheel drive system.
