The three-millionth Audi A3 has rolled off the assembly line in Ingolstadt, Germany. The landmark car is a white A3 Sportback 2.0 TDI quattro and will be delivered to its owner in the next few days.

Conquered the roads of 117 countries worldwide, the Audi A3 essentially founded the
premium compact segment. "With the Audi A3, we have created a new brand segment - we have been setting standards in the compact class with innovative technology and first-class quality for 17 years now," said Dr. Frank Dreves, Board Member for Production at Audi AG.

"Since the mid-90s, the Audi A3 was the second important pillar of our main plant in Ingolstadt and thus contributes significantly to securing sustainable employment at the site," said Peter Mosch, Chairman of Audi AG. "It is particularly due to the dedication and passion of our workforce that we can write this success story."
