Ferrari 458 Italia crash leaves three injured

An unnamed Ferrari driver has lost control of his 458 Italia and crashed into the crowd at a recent racing event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Cida Alves, a spectator at the event, said "We were behind the guard rail and he (the Ferrari driver) lost control in the curve. Upon impact, a cyclist (who was in the audience) was thrown into the air and the rails fell on him. He was wounded in head."

Three people were injured, two of which were admitted to hospital before being released later that day, while the third person received first-aid for minor injuries on the spot.

The driver of the Italian supercar was immediately taken into custody by the military police and he could be facing some serious fines.
