BMW to debut three new models in New York

2013 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo

German carmaker BMW has announced plans to introduce the 328d, 3-Series Gran Turismo and the Concept Active Tourer at the 2013 New York Auto Show on March 27.

First up, the 328d will be powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine which produces 180 hp and 379 Nm of torque. This allows the sedan to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 7.2 seconds, while returning up to 40+ mpg highway.

Next, the 3-Series Gran Turismo can use a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine that creates 240 hp and 345 Nm of torque or a 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder engine which develops 300 hp and 406 Nm of torque. It will arrive in the U.S. this summer and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

BMW Concept Active Tourer

Lastly, the Concept Active Tourer is a new plug-in hybrid concept which combines comfort and functionality with dynamics and style while showcasing several innovative solutions. It features a 3-cylinder gasoline engine coupled with an electric motor which allows for nearly 95 mpg.
