Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) has just released first official details about their Sports 650 concept, which is based on the pre-facelift Lexus LS 460.

Described as a "high-end limousine-sized car which is equally comfortable and exciting on the road as on track days", the Sports 650 features a new front bumper with enlarged air vents, a revised grille, LED daytime running strips, carbon fiber side skirts and a ventilated hood. There's also a rear spoiler, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and four tailpipes, along with 20-inch BBS alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin high-performance tires. Meanwhile, all Lexus badges have been replaced by the German TMG logo.

Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 650 hp and 710 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission which allows the 2,070 kg sedan to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 320 km/h.

TMG President Yoshiaki Kinoshita said, "This is a truly remarkable car with incredible performance; we are looking forward to hearing the reaction of visitors to this showcase of TMG’s engineering capabilities."

The TMG Sports 650 concept will be unveiled at the Essen Motor Show in December.
