Jaguar has released the first official images and details of the 2013 XFR-S, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show tomorrow.

Painted in a blue color trim that is called French Racing Blue, the most extreme version of the XF is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine with 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque - a neat boost over the XFR's 40 hp output. This allows the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h is in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 300 km/h.

The new images also reveal the XFR-S' more aggressive body kit which includes a new front bumper with larger vents, revised side skirts, a new rear diffuser, a large rear wing and a new set of six-spoke wheels. This body kit uses some sort of carbon fiber trim and delivers 70 percent more downforce. Meanwhile, Jaguar’s designers painted all the car’s bright chrome trim in a dark finish

Only 200 units of the 2013 Jaguar XFR-S will be offered in the United States.
