Sure to satisfy rear-seat passengers on short jaunts and cross-country vacations, alike, Mazda has announced the availability of its new Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) accessory kit for the 2016-18 CX-9 in the U.S.

RSES can be retrofitted to all 2016, 2017 and 2018 CX-9s as a dealer-installed accessory. It will also come in select 2018 CX-9 as a port-installed item.

RSES features: dual 8-inch LCD monitors, single CD/DVD player, USB 2.0 and SD card inputs, HDMI ports for wired device connections, two IR-type wireless headphones, 5mm stereo headphone output, and two remote controls.

Because video data can come from multiple sources via USB, SD, CD/DVD or HDMI, the monitors are able to play different content simultaneously, or both monitors can display the same content.
