New Ford Everest launches at Everest Base Camp

On April 5, the "Over Mount Everest" event was held for the new Ford Everest launch at Everest Base Camp in Tibet. This is the first time the Ford Everest has upgraded its lineup since the brand launched in China in November 2015.

The new Ford Everest offers nine different options with prices ranging from 265,800RMB to 360,800RMB.

On March 24, four Ford Everest fleets separately set off for Mount Everest from Shanghai and Turpan, Xinjiang. The Shanghai team began their journey from the 0-mile point of G318 national highway while the Turpan team began from the 0-altitude monument. After their journey, both teams joined together at the Base Camp of Mount Everest, the highest altitude in China that an auto product launch has ever taken place.

The launch was held at Mount Everest in part to draw attention to the environmental issues on Tibet plateau and as a call-to-action to protect the ecosystem.

The event marked the new beginning for the Ford Everest in China and beyond.
