Hyundai has displayed its all-new ix35 at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition 2017, revealing the new SUV-produced exclusively for the Chinese market - which goes on sale at the end of this year.

Designed specifically for the world’s largest vehicle market, the all-new ix35 will offer buyers a family-focused vehicle that boasts a roomy interior, stylish design and a reasonable price. The SUV joins the company’s range of popular SUV models, including the ix25, Tucson, SantaFe, and Grand SantaFe.

As part of a 19 models display at the Shanghai show, the practical yet sophisticated ix35 will make a striking centerpiece with its robust and sporty styling. Its appearance is characterized by the confident front end, emphasized by high-tech headlamps either side of the brand’s distinctive cascading grille.

The car’s 4,435 mm long body uses straight lines along with the upright windscreen and rear window to demonstrate its roomy nature, while width (1,850 mm) is accentuated by its wheel arches and character lines around the fender. The ix35’s futuristic feel continues to the rear where the horizontal arrangement of the rear combination lamps completes the confident look.

In terms of engines, the current car is offered with 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter engines in China, delivering between 160 hp and 170 hp. These engines will probably be retained for the new ix35.
