Following last week's leak, Mercedes-Benz has officially confirmed the AMG GT S will have a starting price of $129,900 (excluding a $925 destination fee) in the United States.

Set to go on sale in April, the AMG GT S is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine which produces 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that allows the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

It will also come nicely equipped with Nappa leather upholstery, a COMAND infotainment system and a Burmester audio system. Other highlights include Keyless-Go, Parktronic and Collision Prevention Assist PLUS.

Meanwhile, the entry-level AMG GT will arrive in the spring and use a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 462 hp and 600 Nm of torque. There's no word on pricing, but the car will run from 0-96 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
