Track-focused LaFerrari XX confirmed

In a recent interview, Ferrari's head of the newly-established Sporting Activity Department has confirmed the company is currently developing a track-focused LaFerrari.

Speaking to Drive, Antonello Coletta said "Now we are working on the new hypercar for the circuit, the LaFerrari XX. I hope that the new car will arrive on the circuit in January or February of next year."

Coletta also hinted that it will be hard to improve the performance of the LaFerrari because the standard hybrid powertrain is already producing upwards of 950 hp and 900 Nm of torque. As he explained, "It will be more or less the same [power] but it will be completely different the handling, because it’s normal that the handling is different for the circuit and the road."

Instead, the changes will most likely include improved aerodynamics (with a focus on downforce), upgraded electronics, a sportier suspension, slick tires and some weight-saving measures.
