Lamborghini has released official images and details of the Huracan LP610-4, ahead of its world public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Designed to offer a super sports car experience on a whole new level, the Gallardo successor will be powered by a new 5.2-liter V10 engine which produces 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The different driving modes can be selected via a switch on the steering wheel, with three setups of the dynamics system: Strada, Sport and Corsa.
According to the Italian carmaker, the 1,422 kg supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds. Thanks to the Stop & Start technology, the engine complies with EU6 emissions regulation which allows the Huracan to have an average fuel consumption of 12.5-liter / 100 km (18.8 mpg US or 22.5 mpg UK).
The Huracan comes as standard with carbon ceramic brakes and a 12.3-inch full-color TFT display inside the cabin which delivers all the necessary information to the driver, from rev counter to navigation maps and infotainment functions.
Starting from January, the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 will be the protagonist of over 130 private preview events in more than 60 cities throughout the world. First deliveries to the customers are planned for spring 2014.
