2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible confirmed for Los Angeles debut

BMW has officially confirmed the 2014 4-Series Convertible will make its world debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20.

The all-new 4-Series Convertible will be offered in the United States as a 428i, featuring a TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, and as a 435i with a TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline six engine. The 428i Convertible will be offered with a choice of rear-wheel drive or with optional xDrive, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel drive system, while the 435i Convertible will be available at launch with rear-wheel drive.

In Europe, customers also get a 420d version equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 181 hp. The model comes as standard with a six-speed manual transmission but can be optionally connected to the aforementioned 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible is scheduled to arrive in US showrooms in the first quarter of 2014 at a starting price of $49,675 for the 428i and $55,825 for the 435i.
