Lamborghini has officially unveiled the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, ahead of its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Designed to bring "race track emotion directly to the road," the Squadra Corse is the most extreme Gallardo ever produced and is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo which competes in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. As a result, it features carbon fiber components, a quick-release carbon fiber rear hood and a prominent rear wing for greater aerodynamic load. There's also a carbon-ceramic brake system and 19-inch forged wheels painted in high-gloss black.

According to the Italian carmaker, the Squadra Corse is available in four exterior colors, including Giallo Midas (yellow), Bianco Monocerus (white), Grigio Thalasso (grey) and Rosso Mars (red).

Inside the cabin, extremely lightweight carbon fiber and Alcantara are the dominant materials. Alcantara graces the underside of the dashboard, the central panel of the seat cushion and the backrest. The door panels and the center console cover are also made from carbon fiber, a technology in which Lamborghini has achieved world-leading expertise. Other highlights include alloy pedals, racing seats and special Squadra Corse badging.

Motivation is provided by the same 5.0-liter V10 engine as the Gallardo Super Trofeo developing 570 hp. It is mated to a six-speed e-gear transmission which allows the 1,340 kg supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 320 km/h.
