Bentley Continental GT3 to debut at Goodwood

Bentley has recently announced plans to introduce the Continental GT3 at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place on July 12 in Sussex, England.

Demonstrating the performance potential that lies embedded in the DNA of every Continental GT, the GT3 is the most extreme form of the iconic Grand Tourer ever. The
race car will feature a double wishbone suspension, four-way adjustable dampers and competition brakes. Other highlights include an FIA-spec roll cage, a carbon fiber racing seat and a "meticulously stitched" steering wheel.

Motivation will be provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that sends power to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential racing transmission. Performance specifications were not released, but the car will be 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs) lighter than the road-going model thanks to several carbon fiber body parts.

Alongside the Continental GT3, Bentley will also display the Continental GT Speed Coupe, the Continental GT Speed Convertible, the Flying Spur and the Le Mans-winning Speed 8.
