Aston Martin CC100 to debut in May

Aston Martin V12 Vantage in Titanium Silver

Aston Martin has recently announced plans to introduce a V12 Vantage-based sports car at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in May.

Speaking to Autocar at the Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez said the model will be called the CC100 and will be influenced by the DBR1 race car. It will have no doors or roof, meaning it will essentially be similar to the Lamborghini Aventador J albeit without scissor doors.

Production will be limited to 2 units: one to celebrate the company's centenary and another to commemorate Stirling Moss's legendary win at the 1959 Nurburgring 1,000 km at the wheel of a DBR1.

No pricing has been revealed, but the CC100 is expected to slot somewhere between the £1,400,000 One-77 and the £330,000 V12 Zagato.
