Acura has announced the 2014 RLX will have a starting price of $48,450, excluding a $895 destination fees, when it goes on sale on March 15.
The new RLX will be powered exclusively by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 310 hp and 368 Nm of torque. Utilizing variable cylinder management in combination with a standard Sequential SportShift 6-speed automatic transmission and a lightweight and aerodynamic body design, Acura's flagship model can return 20 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined.
Later this year, the model will be offered with the brand's Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) which connects a 3.5-liter V6 engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and three electric motors for a combined output of 370 hp. The setup allows the car to return 30 mpg city, highway and combined.
Standard features include Milano perforated leather seats, climate control, an 8-inch navigation screen, a 7-inch multi-use touchscreen display, 12-volt accessory power outlet and a 10-speaker audio system with USB and AUX support.
