At the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Porsche has officially announced the new Cayenne Turbo S will start at $146,000, excluding a $975 destination charge, when it goes on sale in spring in the United States.
According to the German carmaker, the SUV is powered by a 4.8-liter twin-turbocharged engine that develops 550 hp and 750 Nm of torque - an increase of 50 hp and 50 Nm over the regular Turbo. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 280 km/h.
The Cayenne Turbo S is distinguished by high-gloss black accents on the front air intakes, headlamp and mirror housings as well as smoked headlights, rectangular quad exhaust tips and 21-inch Turbo II alloy wheels. It is also equipped with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and the Sport Chrono package as standard.
