Mercedes CLA to debut at 2013 Detroit Auto Show

According to Autocar, Mercedes-Benz is planning to reveal the all-new CLA at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show early next year.

Previewed by the Concept Style Coupe at this year's Auto China show, the CLA
will be an entry-level sedan which will compete with four-door variants of the Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series. It is based on the front-wheel drive platform of the latest A-class and will feature CLS-inspired styling with a sloping roof line that gives the model a "four-door coupe" appearance.

The petrol lineup will likely consist of a CLA 180 with 115 hp, a CLA 200 with 156 hp and a CLA 250 with 211 hp. Diesel lovers will be able to order a CLA 180 CDI with 109 hp, a CLA 200 CDI with 136 hp and a CLA 220 CDI with 170 hp. There's also be a CLA 45 AMG version which will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 335 hp and and more than 400+ Nm of torque.
