Honda has just announced that the 2013 CR-Z will have a s starting price of $20,765 when it goes on sale tomorrow.

Specifically, the base CR-Z will start at $20,765, including the $790 destination charge. That's a $280 increase from the 2012 model. Meanwhile, the top of the line version, the EX, costs $24,595, including shipping, up $400 from the 2012 model.

The 2013 CR-Z is equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT). The powertrain's combined output is now rated at 130 hp at 6,000 rpm, up 8 hp from the 2012 model. When equipped with the six-speed manual transmission, the car returns 31 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway, while with the CVT, it delivers 36 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.

The car also gets a new Plus Sport System, which the Japanese carmaker said allows additional on-demand electric boost via a steering-wheel-mounted S+ button.
