Audi has officially unveiled the 2013 S3 at the Paris Motor Show.

According to the German carmaker, the model features an S single-frame grille, revised bumpers, LED daytime running lights and aluminum-look mirror caps. There's also a large roof spoiler, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin comes with sport seats, a flat-bottom sports steering wheel, a unique instrument cluster and power-retractable on-board monitor. There's also aluminum pedals and a cargo capacity of up to 1,100-liter.

Motivation is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct injection 4-cylinder engine with 296 hp at 5,500 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to all-four wheels via a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional S tronic dual clutch transmission. The 1,395 kg car takes 5.1 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h with the S tronic and 5.4 seconds with the manual transmission. The limited top speed is 250 km/h.

In terms of efficiency, fuel consumption is 6.9-liter per 100 km with the S Tronic or 7-liter per 100 km with the manual transmission.

The upgrades include a chassis with Audi’s Magnet Ride, a sport suspension that lowers the body by 25mm, a new set of brakes and the optional electromagnetic damper control system.

The Audi S3 will arrive at dealerships early next year and German pricing starts at €38,900.
