Aston Martin planning a new car for this summer

Aston Martin DB9 successor

Aston Martin is planning to introduce a special car, which will be unveiled this summer, to mark their 100th birthday in 2013.

In a interview with Auto Express, CEO Dr Ulrich Bez said "We have to do something remarkable to mark our centenary. It won't be a DB9 with a Centenary Edition badge and it won't be a limited edition like the One-77 supercar. This will be a mainstream Aston."

Meanwhile, the executive is likely talking about the DB9 successor that was recently spotted on road test, as you can see in the image (photo by Worldcarfans). Addition infomation is limited, but it could be powered by a 6.0-liter V12 that develops 470 hp to 550 hp.
