Honda has unveiled the Concept S, which is described as a “global concept model of a new-value passenger mover”, at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.

According to the Japanese carmaker, the 'S' stands for "Stylish," "Smart" and "Surprise". It is motivated by an unspecified hybrid powertrain and features a spacious cabin, but the Japanese carmaker didn’t provide passenger capacity.

The Concept S previews a new MPV and previews another production model destined for the Chinese market through its Dongfeng Honda Automobile joint venture next year. Following its launch, the model is expected to inspire a new global model, possibly the next-gen FR-V (not sold in Australia).

The Honda Concept S will begin production next year.
