2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta revealed

Ferrari has officially unveiled the 2013 F12 Berlinetta at the company’s headquarters in Maranello, ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 starting next Tuesday.

Surprise, it’s not called the F620 GT as we known until now. The F12 Berlinetta is the most powerful and high-performance Ferrari road car ever launched by the Italian carmaker and is developed in the collaboration between Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina.

Ferrari also says that their newest supercar features an all-new chassis and bodyshell using twelve different kinds of alloys, some of which have been used here for the first time in the automotive industry.

Under the hood, the 599 GTB successor is powered by a 6.3 liter V12 engine with 730 hp at 8,500 rpm and 509 lb-ft of torque, out of which 80 percent is already available at just 2,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel drive via the latest F1 seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This allows the 1,525 kg supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 340 km/h.
