Fiat has announced plans to offer the Brazilian-built Strada in its home market of Italy.
Available in three body styles (Short Cab, Long Cab, Crew Cab), the new Strada is 4,409 mm long, 1,664 mm wide and a common wheelbase for all versions of 2,718 mm. It has a towing capacity of 1000 kg (2,205 lbs) and a maximum payload capacity of up to 705 kg, including the driver. In addition, customers can also order an electronic locking differential called E-Locker and 205/65 R15 off-road tires.
According to the Italian carmaker, the compact pickup is powered by a 1.3-liter MultiJet 16v Euro5 diesel engine with 95 hp and 200 Nm of torque, consuming 5.3-liter/100 km (44.4 mpg US) on the combined European driving cycle.
The Fiat Strada will start at €12,900.
