B-Max production ends at Ford Craiova plant

The last Ford B-Max rolled off the assembly line at Ford’s Craiova plant in Romania on September 1.

Since the model first went into production at the plant in June 2012, more than 280,000 of the feature-packed small cars have been produced.

With the increasing popularity of compact SUVs, the decision was taken to end output of the B-Max and replace it with the successful EcoSport.

A new version of the EcoSport will commence production at the Craiova plant later this fall, following an investment of approximately €200 million.

To mark the end of B-Max production, more than 100 Ford Craiova colleagues got together to recreate the B-Max logo.
