All-new Ford F-150 Raptor on its way to China

The all-new Ford F-150 Raptor is on its way to China for the first time. This week, 68 of the trucks were loaded onto boats on the U.S. West Coast and began their two-week journey to the Far East.

There are some differences between the China Raptor and the Raptor sold here in the U.S. Because of the size of the high-performance off-road truck, a number of things have to be added before it ships out. Those steps range from adding reflective stripes and a different trailer tow connector to applying a different battery sticker. The trucks also have to go through extra checks before being allowed on the boat.

The Raptors are not making the two-week journey alone to the world’s largest auto market. They are joined on the boat by their cousins the Mustang and Explorer, along with the Lincoln MKX and Continental.
