All about the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV

Since 2009, when the Volkswagen Tiguan was initially released, the vehicle has gone through many changes.  In fact, every single year since 2009, a new variation of the SUV has been released to the public. This SUV was the German manufacturer’s first attempt at a compact-crossover SUV, and the vehicle was able to stand out from the rest of the crowd. Why?

The Tiguan is known for its solid build quality, number one. As we look at it further, we see that it has an upscale cabin, and that it went from A to B with its peppy turbo-boasted engine.

In 2010, the SUV was iterated with both the front-wheel-drive option, and the all-wheel-drive option. In 2011, Bluetooth was added to the vehicle as it was becoming more and more prevalent in the marketplace. In 2012, consumers were able to have an ungraded stereo system, heated seats that were also power-adjustable, and there was a two-wheel-drive LE trim added to the range.

Later, in 2013, the Tiguan came with an electronic parking break. In 2014, a sporty model of the car was introduced into the lineup. In 2015, all the SUVs in the line up had backup cameras as those were becoming more and more popular, as well as a sharper touchscreen interface. In 2016, there was keyless entry added, with push button start.

So what’s different in 2017?

The 2017 Tiguan is actually a bit larger than the previous models had been. It’s 60 mm longer in length, and 30 mm longer in width. It’s also 22 mm lower. On the inside of the car, the cabin has a much classier finish than it had in previous iterations. This is because there are higher standard materials being used throughout.

A great feature is that the rearmost seats move back and forth, allowing more foot room for any passengers that may be seated in back. The boot of the car can accommodate 520-liter even when the seats are in their regular position. Talk about roomy. Of course, you gain even more room in your car if you fold the rearmost seats down. If you do so, the boot can accommodate 1,655-liter.

The technology is newer, too. Daytime running lights are available to make sure the car can always be seen by other drivers and persons on the street, even in awful weather. As well as calm lightning on the door handles, the dashboard, footwells, and sills of the car on the interior. There is also an optional heads-up display that tells you the car’s speed, navigation data, and any traffic signs in the surrounding area. This comes via your dashboard.

The vehicle comes out in November 2016 in the UK, and the prices for the vehicle start at £22,510, though there are other options for you to choose from so that you can pick the best model for yourself.
