Bugatti Chiron will do 0-100 km/h in 2 seconds

British magazine CAR is reporting the Bugatti Chiron will do the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2 seconds.

The Veyron successor will stick with the 8.0-liter W16 engine which produces 1,500 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. This allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in only 2 seconds, making it half a second quicker compared to the Veyron SS WRE, before hitting a top speed of 463 km/h.

In terms of efficiency, the Chiron will return 20-liter/100km (14 mpg UK or 11 mpg US) which would make it slightly less thirsty than the Veyron Super Sport which returns 23.1-liter/100km (12.2 mpg UK or 10.1 mpg US) in the combined cycle.

According to Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech, the Bugatti Chiron wil be launched in 2016.
