Best February on record for Ford F-Series

2015 Ford F-150

Ford Canada experienced strong Lincoln sales in February, continuing the reinvention of the brand.

The F-Series and F-150 achieved the best February on record as sales increased one percent and 10 percent respectively. The F-150 claimed the top spot as the Automobile Journalist Association of Canada’s (AJAC) 2015 Truck of the Year, announced at the Canadian International Auto Show in February.

Another award winner, the Transit Connect, saw sales increase 239 percent. The Transit Connect won the 2015 Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value Award for the Compact Commercial Van category as it retained close to 60 percent of its 2011 MSRP.

Total Lincoln sales were up 138 percent during the month of February. Lincoln MKZ sales increased 74 percent, MKS sales were up 29 percent, and MKX and MKT sales rose 24 and 79 percent respectively.

"We are seeing positive customer reaction to our recently launched vehicles and look forward to continuing the momentum when the all-new 2015 Ford Edge hits dealerships this spring," said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada.  "For Lincoln, we always expected it would take time to reinvent our luxury brand, but Canadians have quickly embraced the new Lincoln line-up resulting in strong sales."
