Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo has officially made its global debut at this year’s edition of "The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering."

The track-only Huracan was developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, with direct involvement by founder Giampaolo Dallara who also was involved the development of the legendary Miura. It adopts the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine from the road car, delivering 620 hp in race trim, and a rear-drive set-up.

The Huracan Super Trofeo weighs an ultra-light 1,271 kg, attributed to the hybrid carbon fiber/aluminum chassis and strict motorsports weight reduction. The weight/power ratio is 4.5 lbs/hp.

The aerodynamics provide better efficiency, traction and downforce using a ten-position rear wing, front and rear diffusers as well as adjustable front air intakes. The Huracan Super Trofeo will be exclusively-equipped with Pirelli tires engineered specifically for this application.

The car will debut in all three (Europe, Asia and North America) of the brand's 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series, where it will rub shoulders with the outgoing Gallardo Super Trofeo. However, the two models will compete in different classes.
