Mercedes-Benz has just announced the 2015 GLA will have a starting price of $32,225 - including a $925 destination charge - in the United States.
For this money, customers will be getting the standard GLA 250 with front-wheel drive, while the 4MATIC version is an extra $2,000. At the top of the range, the GLA 45 AMG 4MATIC costs $49,225.
Motivation is provided by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 211 hp and 350 Nm in the former and 360 hp and 450 Nm in the latter. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that allows the GLA 250 to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 7.1 seconds while the AMG version will do it in 4.8 seconds.
Standard extras include a 5.8-inch display with Bluetooth connectivity, Harman Kardon sound system as well as heated & adjustable front seats. The options list include a 7-inch touchscreen display, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping warning system and blind spot monitoring.
