Mazda has officially revealed the 2015 Mazda2 / Demio today as the company launched the production version of the Hazumi concept at its Hofu plant in Japan. The all-new Mazda2 / Demio features the full range of ultra-efficient SKYACTIV technology underneath a stunning Kodo design language that is bursting with energy.

With a winning combination of performance, fuel economy, safety and Mazda's patented driving fun, the 2015 Mazda2 / Demio has the potential to reproduce the immense popularity of its siblings - the CX-5, Mazda6 and Mazda3 - when it goes on sale in autumn starting in Japan. Evolving and enhancing the technology and ergonomics cultivated in these vehicles, the model is expected to raise the bar in the crucial B segment, Europe's single largest in terms of market share.

It will premiere in Europe with a newly developed 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-D diesel engine producing 105 hp at 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm and 2,500 rpm, as well as different power versions of the 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine. Both engines are mated to manual and automatic gearboxes.

Together with SKYACTIV body and chassis, the 2015 Mazda2 / Demio also gets the company's innovative MZD Connect in-car connectivity system, a class-beating range of i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology and a remarkably spacious and refined interior.
