Volvo Concept Coupe could hit limited production

The 2013 Volvo Concept Coupe was one of the stars at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and a new report has emerged that the car could go into production in limited numbers.

Autobild reports that the overwhelming response to the Concept Coupe has forced the Board of Directors to consider a production version. A final decision on whether or not to give the concept the production green light could be made early next year.

As a reminder, the Concept Coupe is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter Drive-E petrol engine mated to a rear-mounted electric drive motor, for a combined maximum output of 400 hp and 600 Nm of torque.
