Bugatti has recently teamed up with artist Bernar Venet to develop a special Veyron Grand Sport Venet, which helps to create something truly special for this week's Art Basel Miami Beach.

Running across the car's front fascia and over its flanks are dozens of mathematic and scientific formulas, the very same used by Bugatti's engineers when building the Veyron. These formulas are spread over a finish similar to that of rusted metal, which is also a common theme of Venet’s art.

This same theme continues inside the cabin where the dash panels and leather trim have a rusted look, while the door panels were covered by bright orange formulas.

Motivation is provided by a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine with 1,001 hp. With its removable roof detached, the supercar can hit a top speed of 224 mph, while with the temporary umbrella-like cloth roof, top speed drops to just 81 mph.

Bernar Venet is a French artist based in New York and one of the most influential contemporary sculptors of this time. During the summer of 2011, Venet unveiled his monumental sculptures in a solo exhibition at the Château de Versailles in France, becoming one of only five contemporary artists to be given the honor.
