Japanese carmaker Honda has recently confirmed plans to unveil the production version of the Acura NSX at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Speaking with Autoexpress at the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show, a top Honda exec said that the production NSX will be shown in Detroit after the show car has finished its duties in Sao Paulo and then in Tokyo in November. Sources also say that the styling will remain 'identical' to the concept

Motivation is expected to be provided by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, linked with two electric motors and the SH-AWD system, producing a total of 400 hp.

The production NSX is developed by Honda R&D Americas and will be built in the United States at a factory located in central Ohio.
