Porsche Will Produce Cajun Crossover in Leipzig

Porsche will produce Cajun Crossover in Leipzig, Germany in early or mid 2013.

As part of business strategy, Porsche will expand the plant, adding the assembly line and dealer. When start the production Cajun crossover, there will be thousands of new jobs for employees.

The Cajun was developed on the chassis of the Audi Q5. It is proposed to use four engines, combined with manual gearbox or dual clutch 7-speed gearbox. Specifically:

- 2.0 TFSI, capacity of 240 hp, torque of 350 Nm.
- 3.0 TFSI, capacity of 292 hp, torque of 400 Nm.
- 2.0 TDI, capacity of 190 hp, torque of 350 Nm.
- 3.0 TDI, capacity of 265 hp, torque of 500 Nm.

When sold, the Cajun will compete with Mercedes GLK, new BMW X3 and Land Rover Evoque. Price still not disclosed.
