Following last week's teaser, Volvo has officially revealed the production version of the 2013 S60 Polestar.
According to the Swedish carmaker, the S60 is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged T6 engine which produces 350 hp at 5,700 rpm and more than 500 Nm of torque between 2,800 rpm and 4,750 rpm. It is linked to a Polestar-tuned 6-speed automatic transmission with launch control and a Polestar-tweaked Haldex four-wheel drive system.
This engine has been equipped with a new intercooler, Borg Warner turbo and a full-flow stainless exhaust system with 3.5-inch tailpipes. Thanks to these changes, the 1,684 kg car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
A limited production run has been developed exclusively for the Australian market as a pilot project, with deliveries expected to commence in late June 2013.
