Peugeot RCZ Magnetic Edition announced for UK

Peugeot has recently announced plans to offer a limited edition of the RCZ Sport in the United Kingdom, called the Magnetic.

According to the French carmaker, the special version is offered exclusively in Pearlescent Pearl white or Metallic Nera black. It also features brilliant black front grille, matte black roof arches, door mirror covers and 19-inch Sortilege alloy wheels with an onyx matte black finish.

Inside, the cabin comes with leather sport seats, a short shift gear lever and a Peugeot Connect Navigation system. Other highlights include a soft touch leather steering wheel and "Magnetic" badging on the doors.

Under the bonnet, two different engines are available. The 1.6-liter THP petrol develops 156 hp and 200 hp, while the 2.0-liter HDi diesel create 163 hp.

Limited to 170 units, the Peugeot RCZ Magnetic has a starting price of £25,350.

Peugeot has officially unveiled the 208 T16 race car that will compete in the famed Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30.

Created by Peugeot Sport, the car has a carbon fiber body with large side skirts, a ventilated hood and a side-exiting exhaust system. There's also wide wheel arches, a very aggressive rear diffuser and a giant rear wing.

Inside, the cabin features a digital instrument cluster, a roll cage and a carbon fiber racing seat. The French carmaker also offers alloy pedals and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.


Set to enter into the Unlimited Class, the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak will be driven by nine-time world rally champion Sebastian Loeb who will have to cope with a strength-sapping altitude difference of some 1,500 metres in less than 20 km, with the finish line situated at an altitude of 4,301 metres.

French carmaker Peugeot has recently released the first photos and details of the RCZ Arlen Ness, which will be unveiled at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy.

Named after custom motorcycle builder Arlen Ness, the one-off RCZ has a two-tone exterior with matte-black accents on the leather-wrapped mirrors, racing stripe, hood and rear wing. It also features an adjustable sports suspension, Ohlins shock absorbers, high-performance Brembo brakes and unique alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the standard 1.6-liter THP engine has been equipped with a high-flow air filter and a Termignoni sports exhaust system. This could allow it to develop 200 hp - an increase of 44 hp.

Peugeot 208 Intuitive Edition announced in the UK

French carmaker Peugeot has recently launched a new special edition of its 208 supermini in the UK, called the Intuitive.

Based on the 208 Allure, this special edition is available in both three- and five-door body styles and comes with more equipment, such as the company's first Park Assist system, which provides active assistance with parking, detecting a parking space then controlling the steering to park in the space.

In addition, the 208 Intuitive also features Cielo Roof with ambient lightning, satellite navigation, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, LED surrounds on the instrument dials and directional front fog lights.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, electronic brake force distribution, power steering, three rear-point seat belts and emergency brake assist.

Under the hood, three engines will be offered, including an 81 hp 1.2-liter petrol, a 69 hp 1.4-liter HDi diesel and a 91 hp 1.6-liter HDi diesel.

The Peugeot 208 Intuitive is now on sale with pricing starts at £14,245.

All-new Peugeot 2008 first official photos leaked


The first official images of the all-new Peugeot 2008 have leaked to the web, ahead of its public debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Previewed by a concept at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, the production version will be based on the Peugeot 208 platform and measures 4,140 mm long and 1,740 mm wide.

Under the hood, four engines are available, including a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol with 110 hp, a 1.6-liter THP petrol with 156 hp and a 1.6-liter e-HDi diesel with two different outputs: 92 hp or 115 hp.

The Peugeot 2008 will be built first in France at the Mulhouse plant, with sales to start later this year. It will compete with the Nissan Juke and Opel Mokka.

Peugeot RCZ facelift UK pricing announced

Peugeot has recently confirmed the RCZ facelift will have a starting price of £21,595 when it goes on sale in the UK in January.

According to the French carmaker, the RCZ will be offered in two trim levels: Sport and GT. The Sport model comes with 18-inch alloys, dual-zone air-conditioning, rear parking sensors, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. Options include automatic lighting and sports seats with alcantara centers.

Meanwhile, the higher grande GT (£23,995) will get 19-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, a sports steering wheel and gear-lever. Customers can also choose the optional Cohiba Brown colour.

A performance version, which is called the RCZ R with 260 hp, will reach the British dealer network towards the end of 2013.

The Onyx concept, the most spectacular model at Peugeot’s stand, has managed to attract a lot of curious eyes at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

Looking like a futuristic supercar, the Onyx has been made from innovative materials and shows outstanding sculpture. The sharp bodywork is emphasized additionally by striking contrast of materials and colors.

The 1,100 kg concept is 4,650 mm long, 2,200 mm wide and 1,130 mm tall, coming with double-bubble roof with integrated air intakes, LED lighting units and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Motivation is provided by a mid-mounted 3.7-liter V8 HDi FAP engine with 600 hp and a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) converting braking energy into electricity, which is then stored in the lithium-ion battery and offers an additional 80 hp. Paris 2012: Peugeot 2008 concept

Besides the 208 Type R Rally Car, 208 XY, Onyx concept, 208 GTi and the RCZ R concept, Peugeot is also displaying the 2008 concept at the Paris Motor Show.

Essentially an evolution of the Urban concept which debuted earlier this year, the concept has a yellow exterior with black accents and previews an upcoming small crossover to rival the Nissan Juke.

At 4,140 mm long and 1,740 mm wide, the 2008 is 5 mm longer and 25 mm narrower than Nissan's B-segment crossover.

Under the hood, power comes from a turbocharged 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine with 108 hp which promises to provide low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The production version will come out sometime next year. It will take the fight to rivals, such as the Nissan Juke or the Skoda Yeti as well as the new Opel Mokka.

The Peugeot 208 GTi limited edition has recently made its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

According to the local automaker, only 54 units will be produced, with 29 of which will be heading to the United Kingdom. All cars will be individually numbered and feature an exclusive satin pearlescent white paint as well as 17-inch carbon onyx black alloy wheels with 205/45 tires.

Power comes from a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 197 hp and 275 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.

Production of the 208 GTi is scheduled for April next year, while deliveries will start one month later.

Only 29 Peugeot 208 GTi Limited Edition units for Britain

Peugeot has just announced plans to produce 54 units of the 208 GTi Limited Edition, 29 of which will be heading to the United Kingdom.

According to the French carmaker, the number 29 represents the numbers of years since the UK launch of the original 205 GTi in 1984. Each of the cars is going to be individually numbered and and will come with an exclusive satin pearlescent white paint, 17-inch carbon onyx black alloy wheels with 205/45 tires and a Union Jack flag print on the lower front grille.

Under the hood, the 208 GTi is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that shared by the RCZ THP 200. It produces 197 hp and 275 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.

Production is scheduled for April next year, while deliveries will start one month later. The Peugeot GTi Limited Edition has starting price at £20,495.
