2014 Toyota Vios revealed

2014 Toyota Vios

In an effort to bring the fun of driving and appeal to first time car buyers, Toyota has introduced the 2014 Vios at the Bangkok Motor Show.

According to the Japanese carmaker, the compact car measures 4,410 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall. The higher-end variant is distinguished by projector beam headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome trim.

Under the hood, the new Vios is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine which produces 109 hp and 141 Nm of torque. It is mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic gearbox.

Approximately 130,000 units are planned for production in Thailand this year, with more than 80,000 for domestic sales and more than 40,000 for export to 80 countries.

2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer presented in Thailand

2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Chevrolet has introduced the production version of the 2013 Trailblazer at last year’s Dubai International Motor Show, and now, the North American carmaker has just presented it in full production form at the Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

Chevrolet says that the model is available in both two and four-wheel drvie and allows customers to choose between two versions of the four-cylinder Duramax turbo diesel engine. The 2.8-liter VGT produces 180 hp and 470 Nm of torque (440 Nm the standard five-speed manual), while the 2.5-liter develops 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

More details will be announced later this year, when the 2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer will go on sale.

Honda Brio Launched in Thailand


Honda Brio was developed specifically for the Asian market, competing with Hyundai i10, Kia Morning (Picanto), Nissan March, and the Suzuki Alto.

The Brio is equipped i-VTEC 4-cylinder 1.2-liter engine, capacity of 90 hp, torque of 110 Nm, airbags, ABS braking system and EBD. With selection 5-speed manual gearbox or CVT, the new Brio is divided into two versions of S and V.

In the Thai market, Honda Brio S will cost 399,900 baht (approximately $ 13,208).

GM launches Chevrolet Colorado at Bangkok Motor Show


General Motors has revealed the first information about the new generation Chevrolet Colorado, ahead of its debut at the Bangkok Motor Show.

Although GM has not disclosed much information about this model, however, GM said, the Colorado will use 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine and will be available in the Thai market later year.

The new Colorado with wider cockpit, roar higher, 4WD, 20-inch wheels and tires capable off-road 285/50R20 size. The Colorado will compete with the Ford Ranger at the 2010 Bangkok Motor Show.
